Schindler and Shorr Double Up

Level 16 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Jake Schindler raised to 375,000 from under the gun and Sean Winter re-raised to 675,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Schindler stuck in the last of his chips for a total of 740,000 which Winter quickly called.

Schindler held {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and was up against the {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} of Winter. The board ran out {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{a-Spades} and Schindler nailed an ace on the river to score a double up.

Next door, Shannon Shorr raised it up on the button and Dan Shak called from the big blind. The flop came {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and Shak checked to Shorr who continued for 80,000. Shak check-raised all in and Shorr took two minutes before calling off his stack of 955,000.

Shak tabled {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts} which was ahead of Shorr's {a-Spades}{k-Spades}. The turn was the {10-Spades} which gave Shorr a straight and Shak two pair. The {9-Hearts} paired the board on the river but it was the wrong one for Shak who fell down to just two big blinds.

Brekstyn Schutten opened to 160,000 from the hijack and Dan Shak moved in his 235,000 chips in the small blind. Dario Sammartino called in the big blind and Schutten called.

The flop fell {k-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, Sammartino check-called for 150,000, and both players checked the {9-Spades} turn.

Sammartino led for 300,000 on the {4-Spades} river and Schutten called.

Sammartino showed {k-Clubs}{4-Hearts} to defeat Schutten's {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Shak's {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}, sending Shak to the payout desk.

Lichtenberger Vaults Into the Lead

Level 16 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Andrew Lichtenberger
Andrew Lichtenberger

The action folded to Andrew Lichtenberger who made it 160,000 on the button. Brekstyn Schutten three-bet to 645,000 in the small blind and Lichtenberger four-bet ripped all in for 3,035,000. Schutten asked for a count and then flicked in a chip to call.

Andrew Lichtenberger: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Brekstyn Schutten: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

It was a coin flip for a chip lead pot and Lichtenberger looked good on the {6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop. The {8-Clubs} on the turn and the {k-Hearts} on the river whiffed Schutten who was forced to pass over a double up.

Level 17 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

David Peters opened to 200,000 from under the gun and was called by Dario Sammartino on his left and Brekstyn Schutten in the big blind. The flop came {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{3-Spades} and Peters continued with a bet of 180,000 which only Sammartino called.

The turn was the {7-Clubs} and Peters pushed out a bet of 550,000 which finally got Sammartino to lay his hand down.

On the next hand, Sammartino raised to 200,000 and Andrew Lichtenberger called on his left. The two players went heads-up to a flop of {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} where they both checked.

The {j-Diamonds} paired the board on the turn and Sammartino led out with a bet of 260,000. Lichtenberger called and the {8-Hearts} completed the board. Sammartino checked this time and Lichtenberger announced a bet of 950,000. Sammartino used his full 30 seconds but decided to fold again.

Jake Schindler opened to 200,000 in the cutoff, Michael Rocco flatted on the button, and Dan Smith shoved in the small blind. Schindler called for his 1,250,000 chips and Rocco folded.

Jake Schindler: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Level 17 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Dan Smith pushed all in for 520,000 in the hijack and Punnat Punsri called from the small blind. Jake Schindler folded his big blind and the two hands were tabled.

Dan Smith: {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Punnat Punsri: {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The flop came {k-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} to put Smith way out front with two pair. The {8-Hearts} on the turn provided a sweat but the {10-Clubs} on the river bricked off.
