Sammartino Raises Punsri on the River

Level 9 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Punnat Punsri opened to 30,000 in middle position and Dario Sammartino re-raised to 85,000 on his left. The action folded back to Punsri who called to see a flop of {j-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}.

Punsri checked to Sammartino who continued for 55,000 and Punsri called. The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {7-Diamonds} on the river.

Badziakouski Soars Over 2 Million

Level 9 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Mikita Badziakouski opened to 30,000 in middle position and was called by Laszlo Bujtas on the button and Michael Rocco in the big blind. The flop fell {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Badziakouski continued with a bet of 35,000. Both Bujtas and Rocco still called.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} which slowed the action as all three players checked to the {3-Clubs} on the river. They all checked again and Rocco threw his cards to the muck. Badziakouski opened {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for two pair and that was good enough to win the pot.

Riess Eliminated by Punsri

Level 9 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Ryan Riess
Ryan Riess

Ryan Riess shoved his 200,000 chips in from the hijack and Punnat Punsri called in the big blind.

Ryan Riess: {j-Spades}{10-Spades}
Punnat Punsri: {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Riess was in a rough spot and the {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop put him further behind. The {6-Diamonds} turn left him needing a diamond to chop, but the {9-Spades} completed the board to eliminate him.

Peters Calls, Doesn't Have to Show

Level 10 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

David Peters raised to 35,000 on the button and was called by Laszlo Bujtas and Christopher Frank in the blinds. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Bujtas led out with a bet of 40,000 which both Frank and Peters called.

The turn was the {a-Clubs} and the action checked around to the {2-Diamonds} on the river. Bujtas led out with another bet of 80,000 which got a quick fold from Frank but Peters called after using a time bank.

Bujtas slid his cards face down into the muck and Peters was awarded the pot without having to show his cards.

Lang Doubles Through Stamm

Level 10 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Dan Smith opened to 40,000 from middle position, David Stamm called on the button, and Mike Lang defended the big blind.

The dealer spread the {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop, Lang checked, Smith bet 35,000, and Stamm called. Lang then moved all-in for 270,000, Smith folded, and Stamm called.

Mike Lang: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
David Stamm: {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Lang was calling for a black card, and the {6-Clubs} fell on the turn to also take away his opponent's flush draw. The {7-Hearts} completed the board to confirm the result and Lang added to his stack.

Smith Nears 2 Million Chips

Level 10 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Chance Kornuth opened to 45,000 from the hijack and Dan Smith three-bet to 145,000 on the button. Action folded back to Kornuth who four-bet to 345,000. Smith thought about his decision while facing his opponent's stare and eventually announced "all in".

Kornuth quickly sent his cards into the muck to concede the raising war, while Smith collected the chips to hover around the 2 million chip mark.

Smith Riding a Heater

Level 10 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Dan Smith opened to 45,000 in the hijack and was called by Brekstyn Schutten on the button. The flop came {10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} and both players checked to the {8-Spades} on the turn.

Smith led out with a bet of 40,000 and Schutten called to see the {q-Clubs} on the river. Smith announced another bet of 140,000 and Schutten quickly called. Smith tabled {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} for an over pair and Schutten mucked his cards.

"How do you three and four-bet every time and then just wake up with kings?" Schutten inquired. "And the king of spades."

"It's nice to have backup," Smith responded.

Frank Can't Hold Against Peters

Level 10 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

David Peters opened to 45,000 on the button, Christopher Frank jammed for approximately 370,000 in the big blind, and Peters called.

Christopher Frank: {a-}{k-}
David Peters: {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Frank started to get up in anticipation of a possibly unfortunate runout as the {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades} came on the flop, before the {9-Diamonds} hit the turn to put Peters ahead. The {j-Spades} confirmed the result as Frank made his exit and Peters chipped up.
