Femi Fashakin Bags Piles on Day 1 of Event #11: $600 No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack
A packed house of 5,715 players showed up to the 2022 WSOP at Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas for Event #11: $600 No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack. By day's end, Femi Fashakin (3,215,000) led the pack of 289 survivors who advanced to Day 2 for a chance at the coveted WSOP gold bracelet.
Fashakin won his first bracelet in 2019 at the WSOP in the Big 50 where he took home an eye-popping $1,147,449. He will bring a sizeable advantage into tomorrow to chase his second.
Other notables to bag include Jimmy D’Ambrosio (1,107,000), who made a sick call to vault back up the leaderboard. Yuri Dzivielevski (540,000), Gabriel Andrade (475,000), Ankush Mandavia (605,000) and Vanessa Kade (340,000).
The players generated a prize pool of $2,914,650 and first place will earn $335,286.
Some of the players to fall throughout the day included WSOP bracelet winners Benjamin Moon, Chad Holloway, Bertrand Grospellier, Scott Ball, Michael Mizrachi and Daniel Lazrus.
Others to go were content creators Lexy Gavin and Brad Owen, as well as Mike Caro and Tiffany Michelle.
The remaining players will return at noon on Tuesday, June, 7, and will play down to a winner.
