Samuels Picks Off The Bluff

Robert "Rsamuels" Samuels
Robert "Rsamuels" Samuels

Blinds: 500/1000/100

Robert "Rsamuels" Samuels opened the action to 2,000 from middle position and it folded to Matt "jacksup" Matros in the hijack who three-bet to 4,800. The rest of the table got out of the way and Samuels made the call.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Samuels check-called a bet of 3,500 from Matros. On the {5-Hearts} turn Samuels checked again and Matros sized up to 9,500, which was called.

The {3-Spades} completed the board and Samuels checked a third time. Matros took a moment before moving all-in for 20,718 and without much thought, Samuels called.

Matros showed {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the bluff with jack-high while Samuels scooped the large pot with {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for top-pair. Matros was eliminated but used his rebuy to get back in the action.
