Koneru Spikes River Ace to Overcome Call

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Action was picked up on the turn on a board reading {2-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. Tammy Winters was facing an all-in shove from Srikanth Koneru.

The pot was about 55,000 and Koneru's shove was for 26,500. Winters went deep into the tank and stared down her opponent. After over two minutes, she called.

It was a good call as Koneru shook his head and said, "You are tough to play against," and showed the {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. Winters tabled the {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} .

Koneru started to stand up and walk away but the {a-Diamonds} binked off on the river and it was Winters turn to stand up. She got up in frustration cursing her luck and Koneru collected his chips in relief.
