Mateos Keeps Building

Level 21 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Adrian Mateos opened to 600,000 on the button and Ben Heath defended from the big blind. The flop fell {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Heath check-called a bet of 425,000 from Mateos.

The turn brought the {7-Spades} and Heath checked once more. Mateos sized up a bet of 1,550,000 this time but Heath stuck around for the {j-Spades} on the river.

Heath quickly checked for the third time and Mateos checked it back. Heath showed {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for a pair of sevens but Mateos held {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for a pair of nines to scoop the pot.
