Lisandro Leads; Hellmuth Second Heading Into Day 2 of Event #78: $10,000 Razz Championship
Day 2 of Event #78: $10,000 Razz Championship is set to begin at 2 p.m. local time here at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. Leading the pack is six-time WSOP bracelet winner Jeff Lisandro, who will sit down with 270,500 in chips. Not far behind him is none other than 16-time bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth, who will start the day with 237,500. Both players already have a gold bracelet from a Razz event in the past and are well-positioned to make a serious run at adding to their bracelet count.
A total of 103 players entered yesterday and of those, just 58 will return for Day 2. This number is likely to grow a little as late registration will remain open up until the start of play today. Other notables who survived into Day 2 include Erik Seidel (67,000), Brian Rast (126,000), Shirley Rosario (151,000), Jason Somerville (60,500), and Joao Vieira (139,500).
