Joanello's Kicker Plays

Level 39 : 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante

Toby Price raised to 2,500,000 and Paulo Joanello defended. Both players checked the {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop before Joanello led out for 2,500,000 on the {3-Spades} turn.

Price called and the {7-Diamonds} fell on the river. Joanello checked, then called when Price bet 4,200,000.

"King," Price said, turning over {k-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. But Joanello had him out-kicked with {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

"I wasn't asking if you had a king. I was saying I had a king," Price joked after the hand. The two players are now virtually even in chips.
