Yunis Pots Preflop and the Flop

Rafael Mota raised under the gun to 225,000 and Nick Yunis three-bet for the whole pot, 775,000. Mota made the call.

The dealer spread a flop of {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Yunis announced 'pot' once again, firing in 1,750,000. Mota took about thirty seconds before giving his hand back to the dealer.

Okamura Goes Three Streets

Motoyoshi Okamura called in the small blind, which allowed Nick Yunis to check his option in the big blind.

The flop came down {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Okamura bet 100,000 which Yunis promptly called.

The turn came out the {7-Diamonds} which saw Okamura bet once more, this time to the tune of 400,000 which Yunis still called.

The river came out an {a-Spades} which Okamura bet 400,000 once more and Yunis began shaking his head. After about 30-seconds of thinking, Yunis announced a fold and Okamura said "good fold, I had it." "You always tell me you have it," replied Yunis.

Okamura Closes The Gap

Motoyoshi Okamura raised to 150,000 from the cutoff and the Nick Yunis on the button and Rafael Mota in the big blind called.

The flop of {q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} was checked to Okamura who bet 150,000. The action was on Yunis but Mota raised to 600,000 believing the action was on him. Yunis folded his hand and the action stood and Okamura called.

The turn came a {k-Clubs} and Mota checked to Okamura who bet 800,000 which Mota called.

The river {2-Spades} was checked one more time and Okamura bet 1,200,000. Mota snap folded his hand saying he had {9-}{8-}{4-}{5-} which Leonid Yanovski responded by saying "It's hard to hit that when I folded {8-}{9-}{10-}{3-}."
