Lopez Gets Quartered

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Before blinds went up, Sterling Lopez opened to 300,000 in late position and Kevin Gerhart three-bet to 800,000 as the player next to act. Lopez called.

Gerhart bet the pot on the board of {4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and called when Lopez moved all-in.

Sterling Lopez: {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}
Kevin Gerhart: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

The turn brought the {6-Clubs} to give both players the same low. "How about a nine," Gerhart said right before the dealer put out the {9-Spades} on the river to give Gerhart the high hand to earn three-quarters of the pot.
