Cates Chips Up Through Schulman

Level 18 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Dan Cates raised to 50,000 in the cutoff and Nick Schulman three-bet to 240,000 in the big blind. Cates tanked for 90 seconds and called. They engaged in a staring contest as Schulman patted and Cates took one. Schulman then checked and Cates bet 400,000. Another tank by Schulman for more than two minutes followed and he opted to fold.
