Cornell Steals It on the River

Level 20 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Michael Liang raised to 240,000 from the cutoff, and Tyler Cornell defended from the big blind. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Cornell check-called a bet of 225,000 from Liang.

The {2-Diamonds} paired the board on the turn, and both players checked to the {k-Hearts} on the river. Cornell thought for a minute before sticking in a small bet of 250,000. Liang checked his cards again before quickly ditching them into the muck.
