Jaffe Picks Up the First Significant Pot

Level 17 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Tyler Cornell opened to 135,000 in the cutoff and picked up calls from Jonathan Jaffe and Adrian Mateos in the blinds.

The flop came {10-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts} and the blinds checked to Cornell who also checked it through to the {q-Diamonds} on the turn.

Jaffe and Mateos checked it again and Cornell tossed in a bet of 175,000 this time. Jaffe called and Mateos stepped aside.

The river brought the {5-Hearts} and Jaffe thought for a minute before leading out for 150,000. Cornell thought for a moment as well and eventually decided to lay it down.
