Newey Gets Away from One

Level 13 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Paul Newey raised it up from under the gun and was called by Jake Daniels in the small blind. The flop came {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Daniels checked to Newey who continued for 75,000. Daniels check-raised all in for 375,000 and Newey went into the tank.

The two players engaged in some table chatter and both finally agreed to show their cards if Newey folded. Newey showed his {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} face up and Daniels confirmed his pair of aces were no good by revealing he flopped a set of jacks with {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}.
