Mike Thorpe "Foda-se"
Mike Thorpe was recently all-in for his tournament life against Portuguese star Joao Vieira.
The action saw Vieira raise the button and Thorpe call in the big blind from a shrinking stack.
Each player then drew two cards, and Thorpe led out with a bet, which Vieira called.
Thorpe then drew one while Vieira took two. Thorpe continued betting and was then raised all-in by Vieira. Thorpe called, with his tournament life at risk.
He was in great shape though as he patted his hand versus Vieira's one-card draw. Thorpe turned over , which Vieira was drawing dead to.
As the hand played out, Thorpe asked Vieira to teach him the Portuguese version of a certain word that starts with 'F' if he won, which Vieira told him was "foda-se". Throughout the day Thorpe had been happily announcing the other word when he won a pot, but in this instance, in honour of his defeated Portuguese tablemate, Thorpe bellowed "I foda-se!!", which echoed throughout the almost empty Amazon room.
