Guilford Makes the Right Call

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

There was a raise to 225,000 from under the gun and Timothy Guilford just called on the button. The small blind was left with exactly 225,000 and put the last of his chips in the middle as well.

The flop came {4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Guilford was looking at a bet of 400,000 from his opponent. Guilford called and the {3-Diamonds} paired the board on the turn. This time Guilford was faced with an all-in, putting his stack of 1,270,000 to the test. Guilford went into the tank for a couple of minutes before finally making the call.

Guilford turned over {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} which was leading his opponent's {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}. The river was the {q-Clubs} and Guilford scooped the large side pot. The all-in player showed ace-high and Guilford also took down the main pot as well.
