Lujano Spikes The Turn

Level 31 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Daniel Lujano was all-in preflop for 3,600,000 from early position and from the button Chris Wa called after taking some time to think about it. Action folded around and the hands were tabled.

Daniel Lujano: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Chris Wa: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

The flop of {6-Clubs}{k-Spades}{3-Spades} was not much for Lujano, but the turn of {5-Spades}, smashed him and the river {7-Hearts} did not improve Wa and Lujano doubled up through him.

Robert Sun raised to 700,000 from the cutoff, Christopher Cummings three-bet to 1,200,000 from the small blind, and Sun called.

The flop came {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Cummings continued for 1,000,000. Sun called to see the {3-Spades} on the turn.

Cummings slowed down with a check, allowing Sun to bet 1,400,000. Cummings then announced he was all in.

"Did you say all in? I call," Sun said confidently. Sun had {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for flopped trips, but Cummings turned over {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a turned full house.

The {10-Spades} came on the river to seal Sun's fate as he became the victim of a cooler in a massive pot.

Dwayne Sullivan Eliminated in 25th Place ($20,016)

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Dwayne Sullivan
Dwayne Sullivan

Dwayne Sullivan lost a large chunk of his stack in a preflop all in as he was holding {6-}{6-} vs the {a-}{k-} of John McNaughton whom he slightly covered.

The flop came {10-}{7-}{2-} to keep Sullivan ahead but the turn was the {a-Spades} to send him behind. The river was the {3-Hearts} and Sullivan was left with less than two big blinds.

He would lose his short stack on the next hand to Kenneth Wroblewski. The blinds ate up the rest of his stack as his {k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} could not best the {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} of Wroblewski when the board stayed clean for the queens.

Sewell's Turn to Hit the River Versus Lopes

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Bruno Lopes raised pre-flop before Billy Sewell went all in for 2,200,000 from the button. Lopes called.

Billy Sewell: {a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Bruno Lopes: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Lopes remained in good position to knock out Sewell as the board read {7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} by the turn, but the river brought the {3-Diamonds} to give Sewell two pair and the double up.

"Oh no," Lopes said.

"Welcome to my world," said Christopher Cummings, remembering Lopes' river drawout against him.

"If you can't be good, might as well be lucky," said Sewell.
