Cohodes and Coplon Chop; Esposito Gets Away

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

David Cohodes put out a bet of 200,000 on a flop of {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and action was on Michael Esposito in the big blind.

Esposito tanked for several minutes before releasing his hand. Ken Coplon in early position, though, raised all in and Cohodes snap-called.

Both players showed the same flopped straight, {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for Coplon and {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for Cohodes.

"Thank God I folded," Esposito yelled as he shot up from his seat, saying he had {q-}{8-} for a lower straight.

Coplon picked up a flush draw on the {j-Hearts} turn, but the river fell {10-Clubs} and they split the pot.
