A brand new event from the World Series of Poker at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino will begin today, Event #47: $5,000 Freezeout (8-Handed) No-Limit Hold'em.
Day 1 of this three-day tournament will begin at 3 p.m. local time. Players will begin with 50,000 in chips and will play 15 levels consisting of 40 minutes each. Blinds will start at 100/200/200.
Late registration is available through Level 12, which is estimated to be at about midnight. There will also be a 15-minute break every three levels of play.
This is a freezeout event so players will have just one shot to run up their stack and claim the golden bracelet that awaits the winner. It is sure to attract a mix of some of the biggest names in poker, as well as some unknowns.
Players who bag and tag at the end of the night will return tomorrow, Monday, October 25th at 2 p.m. and will play until there are five players remaining.
