McKeehen's Better Boat Gets River Value From Matusow

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

With about 100,000 in the pot a board of {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{a-Spades}{7-Spades}, Joe McKeehen was in the big blind and bet. Mike Matusow was in the cutoff and thought it over for a while and looked like he wanted to lay down his hand.

Eventually, Matusow called and McKeehen showed the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. Matusow flashed the {5-Spades} before mucking.

Matusow berated himself for calling and said "I should have folded... I can't believe I paid him off", and continued to lament the hand. He wanted to confirm if he was overreacting to which Dan Zack obliged and Matusow thanked him. Meanwhile, McKeehen and Matusow both still have stacks that exceed the average as the money bubble nears.
