Simpson Takes Out Funaro

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Conrad Simpson
Conrad Simpson

Conrad Simpson raised in the cutoff to 16,000 and Frank Funaro three-bet to 70,000 next to act. The small blind folded quickly and Ori Hasson mucked the big blind. Simpson announced all-in for the rest of Funaro's stack of just over 120,000 and Funaro called.

Frank Funaro: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Conrad Simpson: {a-Hearts}{2-Spades}

Simpson was ahead with the ace-high and the flop came {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, giving him top pair. Funaro picked up some hope when the {j-Hearts} landed, giving him a gutshot straight draw but the {7-Diamonds} on the river was a brick and Funaro was eliminated as they reach the bubble shortly.
