Avina Takes Out Delmas

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

The action folded to Adrian Delmas on the button who open-shoved all in for 1,740,000. David Avina had a big stack in the big blind and asked for a rough count. After thinking for a minute, Avina made the call to put Delmas at risk.

Adrian Delmas: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
David Avina: {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

Avina found himself in a dominating position and the flop of {k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} left it that way. The {6-Hearts} on the turn and the {2-Spades} on the river meant Avina's eight-kicker would play to eliminate Delmas.

Guimond Busts Two to Take the Lead

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Justin Chock ripped all in for 970,000 in the hijack and Florian Guimond asked for a count before making the call from the cutoff. The rest of the table folded and the two players tabled their cards.

Chock showed {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} but found out he was dominated by the {a-Spades}{8-Hearts} of Guimond. The board ran out {9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and Guimond made a pair of aces to eliminate Chock.

In the next hand, Ismael Bojang pushed all in for 705,000 in early position and Guimond flicked in a chip to call. Bojang held {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and was flipping with the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} of Guimond. The flop of {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{6-Spades} gave Guimond a commanding lead and the {9-Diamonds} on the turn and the {k-Spades} on the river eliminated Bojang.

Failla Hammers a Big One Home with Aces

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

The action began with a raise from early position by Ngoc Hoang. Harry Lodge moved all-in next and Will Failla re-shoved from the button and Hoang called.

All hands were turned face-up and it was Failla with {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} in the lead, followed by the {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and finally the {k-Spades}{q-Hearts} of Lodge.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and now Failla need to fade a heart, queen, or any ten.

The turn card was the {2-Clubs} and no help to anyone.

The river card was the {8-Diamonds} and Failla's aces held up, which eliminated Lodge and left Hoang with 135,000 chips.

With that pot Failla catapulted to nearly four million chips and is the current chip leader.
