Yen Takes Chip Lead In Pot That Extends Into Break

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

With the board reading {10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and already around 500,000 in the pot, Alexander Yen bet 500,000 and sent Ryan Gibson into the tank.

"Sick hand," Gibson said as he pondered the decision for several minutes extending into the break. "Do you always have to have it?"

At different times, Gibson grabbed his cards as if about to muck and cut out the chips to call. Finally, after about eight minutes, he called.

"Queen-high flush," he announced. But Yen had him beat with {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{k-Spades} for an ace-high flush to take the massive pot and the tournament chip lead.
