Laplante Leaves Ramos Short, Salazar Finishes Him Off

Level 25
Ryan Laplante
Ryan Laplante

Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Ryan Laplante has earned a near double-up in a hand that left Gabriel Ramos with crumbs.

With nearly his entire stack in the middle already on a board of {4-Hearts}{2-Spades}{5-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{a-Clubs}, Ramos called one more big bet, leaving himself with just 10,000 chips behind.

Laplante showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for top two pair and a six-low. Ramos showed a worse two pair and a worse low with {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, giving the pot to Laplante.

Ramos would lose that final 10,000 in the next hand to Hernan Salazar, whose chip-leading stack sat at over 1.6 million.
