Soverel Bluffs It Off to Becker's Quads

Level 18 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Johannes Becker
Johannes Becker

There was already around 230,000 chips in the pot between Sam Soverel and Johannes Becker. The completed board read {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and the action was on Soverel who shipped all in for around 150,000.

It took Becker less than a second to make the call. Soverel showed {9-Spades}{7-Spades} for complete air while Becker held {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} for quad kings. With that, Soverel was eliminated and Becker advanced to the next round.

Henri Puustinen vs Ali Imsirovic

Ali Imsirovic was down to less than 100,000 chips to start the hand. Henri Puustinen opened on the button and Imsirovic shipped all in which Puustinen snap-called.

Ali Imsirovic: {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Henri Puustinen: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

Koon Comes All the Way Back

Level 22 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Jason Koon
Jason Koon

Jason Koon thought his tournament was over just 20 minutes ago but he was surprisingly left with 50,000 after running into a cooler. After a couple of double-ups, Koon held onto the chip lead and it was Nicolai Morris who was the short stack.

Morris shipped all in for around 82,000 on the button and Koon quickly called after looking at his cards. Morris held {k-Clubs}{5-Spades} but it was Koon that was ahead with {a-Clubs}{2-Hearts}.

The flop of {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} gave Koon a huge advantage. The {5-Diamonds} on the turn and the {q-Clubs} on the river was not enough for Morris who was eliminated.
