Peters Turns a Straight to Eliminate Ball

Level 11 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
David Peters
David Peters

David Peters raised to 8,000 on the button and Scott Ball called from the big blind. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and Ball check-called a bet of 8,000 from Peters.

The turn brought the {j-Clubs} and Ball checked again. Peters sized up a bet of 32,000 this time which sent Ball to the tank. After a minute, he shoved all in for just over 100,000 and Peters snapped him off.

Ball flipped over {q-Clubs}{j-Spades} for a pair and straight draw but Peters already made a straight with {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. The river was the {5-Spades} and Peters picked up the victory over Ball.
