Behrens Stays Alive Against Barnett

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Jack Behrens got his short stack in the middle from the small blind and was called by James Barnett from the big blind.

Jack Behrens: {k-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
James Barnett: {10-Spades}{5-Spades}

Both players hit the {7-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop, but Behrens' seven was best. He stayed ahead when the board ran out {8-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and doubled up to 1,200,000.

Barnett Trips Up Chang

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

James Barnett raised to 280,000 pre-flop and was called by Danny Chang from the small blind.

Both players checked the {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop. Chang checked the {7-Hearts} turn before raising to 700,000 after Barnett put in a bet.

Barnett called and matched another 500,000 bet from Chang on the inconsequential river, showing {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for flopped trips. Chang mucked.

Barnett Leaves Behrens on Fumes

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Jack Behrens moved all in from the button. James Barnett called in the big blind.

Behrens had the {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} while Barnett had the {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

The flop came the {7-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. The turn sent Barnett into the lead as the {a-Clubs} came off. The river was the {6-Clubs} and Behrens was knocked down to about two big blinds but has since chipped up a little bit.

Behrens Doubles Through Abbe

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Action folded to Leo Abbe in the small blind who raised to 500,000. Jack Behrens moved all in for 1,165,000 from the big blind and Abbe called.

Jack Behrens: {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Leo Abbe: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}

Both players made a pair on the board of {q-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, but Behrens' turned pair of kings were enough to secure the double-up

Barnett Cracks Queens to Survive

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Jack Behrens raised to 550,000 from the small blind. James Barnett moved all in from the big blind and was snap-called.

Behrens was in great position to take out Barnett as he held the {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} vs the {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} of Barnett.

The flop came the {10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{k-Hearts} to open up a straight draw. The turn was the {7-Clubs} to bring in that straight and the river came the {8-Clubs} to keep Barnett's tournament hopes kicking.

Barnett Drops More But Saves Himself

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

James Barnett raised to 275,000 from the button and Leo Abbe came along from the big blind.

Both players checked the {k-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop. Abbe checked again on the {q-Clubs} turn before Barnett put in another 275,000 that was called.

The {6-Clubs} fell on the river and both players checked. Abbe showed {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} for a turned pair of queens and Barnett mucked.

"Good thing we didn't get it all in pre," Barnett said.
