No Big Blind Special for Shin

Level 25 : 8,000/16,000, 1,600 ante
Mike Shin
Mike Shin

Action on the table quickly folded around to Jason "Gunner_Q10" Gunn who raised all in for 264,260 on the button and Mike "Mkspresident" Shin called off his 177,469 stack from the big blind.

Jason "Gunner_Q10" Gunn: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Mike "Mkspresident" Shin: {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Shin was dominated and the {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop left him drawing to a chop at best as it gave Gunn Broadway.

Unfortunately for Shin, neither the {4-Hearts} turn nor the {9-Hearts} river were any help and he was eliminated from the tournament

Level 25 : 8,000/16,000, 1,600 ante

Scott "surfpoker75" Storrs moved all in for 119,908 from the lojack and Tim "tRaMSt0p" Duckworth jammed for 209,260 next to act. Kenneth "Kmrobbi" Robbins shoved for over 400K from the button and both blinds folded.

Scott "surfpoker75" Storrs: {j-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Tim "tRaMSt0p" Duckworth: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Kenneth "Kmrobbi" Robbins: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and that was all she wrote for both Robbins and Storrs.

Sankararaman Dropped by Paoletti

Level 25 : 8,000/16,000, 1,600 ante

Matthew "peepeepoopoo" Paoletti: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Raghav "JerseyGuy316" Sankararaman: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The {j-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} flop paired each player and also brought possible chop outs as it both players a Broadway draw.

Unfortunately for Sankararaman, the board completed with running {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and ended his tournament.

Douglas Bubbles Monster Stack

Level 24 : 6,000/12,000, 1,200 ante

Jaime "Dametime12" Cervantes-Alvarez Jr raised from the hijack and then called the 177,906 three-bet jam Champie "kiddchamp" Douglas made from the cutoff.

Champie "kiddchamp" Douglas: {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Jaime "Dametime12" Cervantes-Alvarez Jr: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

Douglas was way behind needing help and the {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop did give him a gutshot straight draw but the {j-Diamonds} turn followed by the {q-Hearts} river ended his tournament on the bubble.

WSOP Legend: 3-Time Poker Players Championship Winner Michael Mizrachi

Level 24 : 6,000/12,000, 1,200 ante
Michael Mizrachi
Michael Mizrachi

The World Series of Poker $50,000 Poker Players Championship (PPC), which was created in 2006, is considered the tournament where the best of the best take on one another and duke it out in a variety of poker games, a reflection of all-around poker skill. Imagine playing the likes of Phil Ivey, Phil Hellmuth, and Daniel Negreanu five days in a row in a short-handed mixed format.

Needless to say, the hefty price tag coupled with a small, elite field created a legacy for the PPC where champions are considered among the greatest overall poker players. A quick glance at its 14-year history shows nothing but greatness among champions, from John Hennigan to Mike Gorodinsky, and with the late David "Chip" Reese as perhaps the event's most fitting inaugural winner back in 2006.

Winning once is the poker professional's dream. Winning two? You're in a league of your own. But winning the toughest event with poker's best three times? Only one man achieved that improbable feat on this day back in 2018, after winning his first two titles in 2010 and 2012: Michael Mizrachi.
