Young Set Up by Condon

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Orson Young
Orson Young

Orson "borgatcha" Young open-jammed for 26,741 from the cutoff and Alexander "ShadowFiend1" Condon isolated on the button with a 70,00o three-bet.

Orson "borgatcha" Young: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Alexander "ShadowFiend1" Condon: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs}

Young was behind and nothing changed after the {3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop appeared.

The {q-Hearts} turn gave Condon a set of ladies while Young picked-up a gutshot and heart flush draw.

Unfortunately for Young, the {7-Spades} river was a brick and his tournament ended in 46th place for $1,250.

WSOP Legend: Doyle Brunson's Final Bracelet

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
WSOP Legend Doyle Brunson
WSOP Legend Doyle Brunson

At the beginning of the 2005 WSOP, Doyle Brunson remained the co-king of the all-time bracelet count, tied along with Johnny Chan at nine. However, as the series drew toward its close in late June, that was no longer the case — Chan had overtaken him by winning No. 10 to stand atop the mountain alone.

Brunson was already phasing out his tournament play, having cashed precisely zero times that summer and just three times in the previous two combined, although one had resulted in a bracelet victory.

When it came time for Event #31: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed, Brunson dusted off his tournament chops and made a run.

Shorr Flushed in 35th Place

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Shannon Shorr
Shannon Shorr

Shannon "Aulophobia" Shorr opened under the gun for 28,000 and Yueqi "anoob" Zhu defended his big blind, bringing the two players to the {5-Hearts}{a-Spades}{9-Spades} flop.

Zhu led out for 60,000, Shorr called off his remaining 21,424 stack and the town hands were revealed.

Yueqi "anoob" Zhu: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Shannon "Aulophobia" Shorr: {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

Shorr was behind needing help and the {6-Diamonds} turn gave him a little with a gutshot straight draw.

Shorr would end up completing his straight after the {7-Spades} appeared on the river but it also gave Zhu the flush and Shorr was eliminated in 35th place for $1,398.
