Big Slick No Good for Sandquist and Yarosh

Level 11 : 200/400, 50 ante

"amv256" open-jammed for 12,705 from early position, William "Wyarosh1" Yarosh came over the top for 19,305 from the neaxt seat over and Tony "KDtheGOAT35" Sandquist called from the cutoff.

"amv256": {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
William "Wyarosh1" Yarosh: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Tony "KDtheGOAT35" Sandquist: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

"amv256" liked that both Yarosh and Sandquist shared the same hand as the {j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{10-Spades} runout secured them their triple-up.

Alabama's All-Time Earnings Leader Shannon Shorr Looking For Some Diaper Money

Level 11 : 200/400, 50 ante
Shannon Shorr
Shannon Shorr

One of the most consistent crushers of the last fifteen years has been Shannon "Aulophobia" Shorr, who tops the Alabama all-time earnings list on Hendon Mob, with nearly $8.6 million in recording earnings. Shorr, who recently announced that he and his wife Joy are expecting their first child, is in action today and will be looking for more success on the virtual felt after some early success on the live felt this year.

Shorr, who had six cashes in last year's WSOP.com Online Bracelet series, but has yet to win a WSOP Gold Bracelet, found his first victory of the year in Event #28: $5,000 No Limit Hold'em Deep Stack, and for besting a 287-entrant field, Shorr added a healthy $296,535 to his bankroll. Shorr has also found a quartet of cashes in PokerGO branded events, including a fourth-place performance at the $10,000 NLH High Roller at The Venetian, good for $77,000.

With another full summer of bracelet events on the docket, will this be the year that Shorr breaks through for a WSOP Gold Bracelet to add another accolade to an already illustrious career? We'll be watching his status all summer long as "Aulophobia" shoots for the stars.

Starting today, the World Series of Poker (WSOP) will begin hosting daily online gold bracelet events on WSOP.com. There will be 33 bracelets awarded over 32 days, and PokerNews is excited to announce we’ll not only be live reporting all the action but also offering poker fans daily live streams.

Every day, viewers at home will have access to watching the biggest names hunt for bracelets. In conjunction with PokerNews, Jeff Platt will host early action from each tournament at twitch.tv/jeffplatt, starting around the money bubble each day and taking players all the way to the final table.

“I am thrilled to team up with PokerNews to present coverage of the 2021 WSOP Online,” said Platt, who is a co-host of the PokerNews Podcast. “We learned last year that the prestige of bracelet events draws an incredibly passionate audience on Twitch. I can’t wait to interact with that audience again as we crown poker’s newest champions.”

After Platt’s streams, coverage will then shift to twitch.tv/pokernews where PokerNews’ own Jesse Fullen will cover final table action alongside a rotating cast of co-hosts including Alec Torelli, Ryan Laplante, Jesse Sylvia, KL Cleeton, Rampage Poker, and Jaman Burton, among others. The streams will also be featured on YouTube and Facebook.

“WSOP Online will certainly be the biggest online series of the year in the USA. We’re thrilled PokerNews has again stepped up to provide fans a way to follow the action,” said Ty Stewart, Executive Director of the WSOP. “Jeff Platt’s personal streams were a highlight of last year’s online series and we have no doubt the PokerNews final table streams will be an entertaining watch.”

Safaya Sets Up a Triple; Bader Left With Dust

Level 10 : 160/320, 40 ante

Brett "J6Suited" Bader raised to 640 from early position, "ash1029" called from the hijack and Christopher "Mufasa5000" Safaya three-bet jammed for 3,890 on the button.

After the blinds folded, both Bader and Safaya called bringing the {3-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop. Bader quickly moved all in for 16,070n and was snap-called by "ash1029".

"ash1029": {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Brett "J6Suited" Bader: {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Christopher "Mufasa5000" Safaya: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Safaya was ahead with his pocket tens while Bader had kicker issues after flopping top pair. The {10-Spades} turn was a great card for Safaya as it secured his triple-up while the {a-Hearts} river left Bader with just 1,337.
