The last words from Joseph Hebert’s mom were “what will be, will be.” These words rang in the ears of Hebert and of spectators as the final cards were dealt in the 2020 World Series of Poker Main Event Headsup Championship. The match was long and was a roller coaster for both players. In the end, Damian Salas walked away with the Bracelet and the $1,000,000. But, Hebert walked out with his head high and a smile on his face with his fiancé and son.
