Pocket Rockets Propel "MoreOn" to a Double

Level 8 : 120/240, 30 ante

"D.E.Fresh" raised to 720 from early position and "MoreRon" three-bet to 1,800 from the cutoff. Srikar "redraider" Chadhivae called from the small blind, "D.E.Fresh" came along, and the trio saw a flop of {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}.

Two checks saw "MoreRon" bet 3,000 and Chadhivae woke up with a check-raise to 6,960. "D.E.Fresh" folded, "MoreRon" moved all in for 17,570, and Chadhivae called.

Srikar "redraider" Chadhivae:{q-Hearts}{q-Spades}
"MoreRon": {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

"MoreRon" had the bigger pocket pair in the hole and they shipped the double after the {j-Spades} appeared on the turn followed by the {5-Clubs} on the river. Chadhivae was left with 1,451 after the hand, but went bust and rebought a short time later.

Raymer Loses Flip Then Rebuys

Greg Raymer
Greg Raymer

Greg "FossilMan" Raymer open-jammed under the gun for 3,845 and Susannah "InigoM22" Altman gave him isolation after she came over the top for 16,570 from middle position.

Greg "FossilMan" Raymer: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Susannah "InigoM22" Altman: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

It was a race with Altman taking the lead after the {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop paired her ace.

The {5-Hearts} turn didn't change a thing nor did the {6-Hearts} river as the "FossilMan" quickly re-entered the tournament.

2004 WSOP Main Event Champ Wins the Flips

Level 7 : 100/200, 25 ante
Greg Raymer
Greg Raymer

Greg "FossilMan" Raymer was short stacked and found himself all in preflop for his last 2,400 or so. He was at risk and flipping against

Greg "FossilMan" Raymer: {q-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Mihai "RomanianMike" Gingu: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}

Raymer needed to improve to stay alive, but it didn't happen on the {8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop, nor on the {7-Clubs} turn. Fortunately for the 2004 WSOP Main Event champ, the {a-Diamonds} spiked on the river to give him the double.
