Engel Falls While Oboodi More Than Doubles

Ari Engel
Ari Engel

With the blinds at 2,500/5,000/625, Ari "philivey" Engel raised to 20,000 under the gun and left himself just 1,467 behind. Layne "scoop87" Flack called from middle position, Tim "uNORTH0dox" Reilly came along from the small blind, and Bobby "LOLOLOLOL" Oboodi did the same from the big to make it four-way action to the {4-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{k-Spades} flop.

Oboodi checked, Engel moved all in for his leftovers, and all three of his opponents called before checking the {7-Hearts} turn.

When the {j-Spades} completed the board on the river, Reilly checked and Oboodi jammed for 71,504. Flack called, Reilly folded, and all three hands were turned up.

Ari "philivey" Engel: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Layne "scoop87" Flack: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Bobby "LOLOLOLOL" Oboodi: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

Engel had top pair with top kicked, while Flack had a Broadway straight. Neither were good though as Oboodi, a WPT champ, had turned the flush.

Haff Takes Care of "Splits89"

With the blinds at 2,500/5,000/625, "Splits89" jammed for 43,464 from under the gun, and Kevin "Point5" Haff three-bet jammed for 48,848 from the button, which got folds from the blinds.

"Splits89": {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Kevin "Point5" Haff: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Haff's kicker proved to be the difference maker on a {7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Spades} board, and "Splits89" was eliminated.

Brian "bexel" Sherrier: {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Chun Lin "Bingooo" Mo: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Sherrier was crushed by the {10-Spades}{q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} flop, but he picked up some outs with a flush draw on the {2-Diamonds} turn. The {2-Clubs} river filled up Mo, and Sherrier was eliminated.
