Policastro Survives All In

Level 1 : 20/40, 0 ante

Kutay "Misterkk" Kalkan opened for 90 from late position and Ted "dobyg" Gillis three-bet to 180 from the hijack.

Action folded around to Michael "Ha8me" Policastro who four-bet to 888 from the big blind and only Gillis called.

Once the {7-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop appeared, Policastro moved all in for 15,392 and Gillis quickly mucked his hand giving the pot to Policastro.

"Beastro" Looking to Beast Mode the High Roller

Level 1 : 20/40, 0 ante
John Allan Hinds playing WSOP.com
John Allan Hinds playing WSOP.com

While the summer is usually reserved for players coming into Vegas for the World Series of Poker, one of the benefits of the online events is that players from New Jersey can participate without having to travel across the country.

One such player is John Allan Hinds, who is playing from the Garden State under the screenname “Beastro.”

Hinds, who previously sent us this photo of his grind station, is a poker pro with $691,665 in live tournament earnings, including a career-best $262,574 for finishing 20th in the 2015 WSOP Main Event. In 2012, he won a WPT Borgata Poker Open $400 side event for $68,871, and in 2017 also cashed the WSOP Main Event finishing in 255th place for $40,181.

All told, Hinds has 23 WSOP-related cashes totaling $426,508, though he’s still in search of his first victory. He came close last month with five WSOP.com Season Finale Online Circuit cashes – including a sixth-place finish in the $320 Double Stack for $9,174 – but only time will tell if he can get it done here in the July bracelet events.

2020 WSOP.com Online Bracelet » Event #13: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em

The 2020 Online World Series of Poker continues today with another non-rebuy tournament today as Event #13: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout is set to get underway at 3:00 p.m. PDT.

The freezeout event features 15-minute blind levels and the $1,500 buy-in gives players 25,000 chips to play with. Late registration will be open for the first 4 hours of play and with this being a freezeout tournament, once a player is eliminated, they won't be able to rebuy.

Ryan “joeyisamush” Depaulo, who is a popular online poker personality, a self-described “degenerate gambler” who makes “+EV Vlogs about my -EV poker play,” shipped his first WSOP bracelet early this morning after he defeated Jack “EarlGrey” Salter in heads-up play in Event #12: $500 The BIG 500 No-Limit Hold'em winning the top prize of 159,563.

Today's Freezeout Event looks to attract many well known players as David "Twizzlers" Prociak, Benjamin "End3rs" Moon, and Kou "MN_Finest" Vang have already signed up and will be firing from the start.

This is a single day event meaning the entire tournament will be played out online and the winner will take home a WSOP Gold Bracelet.

This is the thirteenth of 85 bracelet events being held on WSOP.com (31 events – one each day for the month of July) and GG Poker ( holding the remaining 54 events).

The former client will cater to players in Nevada and New Jersey (players in Delaware are NOT able to participate), while the latter will serve the international base.

How To Play

The first step in getting set up to play on WSOP.com is to download the client. You can do so for both mobile (Android and iOS) and desktop (Windows 7 or higher and Mac OS X 10.6.8).

To get the correct version of the client, use the links below:
