Lapka Eliminated by Daniels

Level 28 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Justin Lapka
Justin Lapka

Action on the table folded around to Justin "LappyPoker" Lapka who moved all in for 64,883 from the hijack and Shawn "SayGoodNight" Daniels called from the cutoff.

Justin "LappyPoker" Lapka: {a-Spades}{3-Hearts}
Shawn "SayGoodNight" Daniels: {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The flop came {3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} pairing both players but Daniels caught the better end.

The {6-Hearts} turn was no help for Lapka as he needed any ace or three to win the hand.

Unfortunately for Lapka, the river came the {10-Spades} ending his tournament run.

Matthew "mferr1209" Ferrante: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Hellmuth Sets Up Berkowitz to Double Big

Level 27 : 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Phil "Lumestackin" Hellmuth raised to 30,000 under the gun and Connor "NYR9414" Berkowitz called from the hijack. The rest of the players folded and it was heads-up action to the {k-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{j-Spades} flop.

Hellmuth continued for 35,000, Berkowitz called, and the {8-Spades} appeared on the turn.

Hellmuth opted to check, Berkowitz bet 56,000, and the 15-time bracelet winner check-raised all in for 323,543. Berkowitz called and the cooler was unveiled.

Connor "NYR9414" Berkowitz: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Phil "Lumestackin" Hellmuth: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Berkowitz had flopped top two pair but it was no good as Hellmuth had a set. Only a king on the river would eliminate Hellmuth, but it wasn't meant to be as the {3-Spades} peeled off instead to send a big double to the "Poker Brat." Berkowitz went bust in 68th place a short time later.

Hellmuth doubles.
