Time for Some Four-Card Poker

WSOP GGpoker
WSOP GGpoker

The GGPoker World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online series is in full swing, and today is a big day for fans of four-card poker with the chance to win an Omaha bracelet for just $400 in Event #51: $400 Pot Limit Omaha. In 2019, at the last live version of the WSOP, the $600 WSOP.com ONLINE Pot-Limit Omaha 6-Handed drew more than 1,200 runners, and ended with American Josh Pollock taking the win for $139,470.

This year, the action is on GGPoker, so Americans will have to travel to play the event, and that means the pot limit Omaha (PLO) bracelet today will likely be handed out to a player based outside the US. While some American players have traveled to places like Canada or Mexico for online poker, the pandemic situation has also made it difficult for most players to travel to jurisdictions where they can play.

Action kicks off on the PLO event at 2 p.m. Eastern time today and they'll play down to a winner before play ends. Players start the day with 25,000 in chips, and they'll play 15 minute levels until one player has all the chips, with late registration open for 180 minutes after play begins. Action starts at 125/250, and as is typical for pot limit games, no antes will be in play.

With a couple hours to go till cards are in the air, there are just over 150 players registered in the event including a few big names. GGPoker ambassador Felipe Ramos is already in the mix, as well as Pete Chen, Michael "Minthon" Iakovlev, Francesco "beninonline" Candelari, Michiel "Easterdamnz" Van Elsacker, Andrew Neeme, and Peter "BIG CHI" Chien among others.

Stay tuned here for all the action through the day as PokerNews will be on the virtual floor all day long to bring you big hands and chip counts as they play down to the next bracelet winner in Event #51.
