Stasiak Takes a Huge Lead Going Into the Break

Level 36 : 400,000/800,000, 100,000 ante

There was only one hand of heads-up action before the break but it turned out to be the biggest pot of the tournament. Alex "astazz" Stasiak raised to 1,600,000 in the small blind and Martin "colinchow" Ilobera defended from the big blind. The flop came {7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs} and Ilobera check-called a bet of 1,600,000 from Stasiak.

The turn brought the {4-Clubs} and both players checked to the {10-Diamonds} on the river. Ilobera checked again and Stasiak fired in a bet of 4,950,000. Ilobera used some of his time bank before check-raising all in. Stasiak called much faster for his remaining 17,712,427 chips.

Ilobera showed {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} for a missed flush draw while Stasiak held {5-Spades}{3-Spades} for a turned straight. When the players return, Ilobera will have just over seven big blinds in this heads-up battle.
