Jesse Vilchez Eliminated in 56th Place ($142,215)

Level 30 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Jesse Vilchez
Jesse Vilchez

The action was folded around to the blinds and Nicholas Marchington and Jesse Vilchez got all of their chips in the middle. Marchington was the player at risk for 7,190,000 and held the dominating hand.

Marchington showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and was up against the {k-Clubs}{j-Spades} of Vilchez. The flop fell {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} to give Vilchez a straight draw but a diamond would be no good for him. The {4-Spades} on the turn and the {6-Clubs} on the river bricked out and Marchington doubled up, leaving Vilchez with just 150,000.

In the next hand, Marchington raised to 425,000 on the button and Vilchez stuck in the last of his chips from the small blind. Garry Gates re-raised to what looked like 1,300,000 and Marchington quickly folded.

Garry Gates: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Jesse Vilchez: {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{k-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Gates' pair of queens was enough to eliminate Vilchez from the tournament.

Duey Duong raised to 400,000 from under the gun and Zhen Cai, who just arrived at the table, called from the small blind. Chris Hunichen shipped all in for a little less than 6,000,000 from the big blind and Duong re-shoved all in. Cai gave it some thought with his entire stack on the line but elected to fold {a-}{k-} face up.

Duey Duong: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Chris Hunichen: {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

The flop came {q-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Duong took the lead with a sigh of relief from Cai. The turn was the {3-Hearts} to give Hunichen a straight draw but the {k-Spades} completed the board. Cai sat in disappointment but Hunichen was the one eliminated from the tournament.
