Levi Flops Straight, Sends One Home

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A player in early position limped and Vedat Levi limped in behind from middle position. The player on the button raised to 6,000 and action folded back around to Levi, who peeled, taking action heads up to a flop of {j-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{q-Spades}.

Levi checked and the player on the button bet 6,000. Levi put in a check-raise of enough chips to put his opponent to a decision for his remaining 21,000 or so.

Upon realizing he was being put to a decision for his tournament life, Levi's opponent told the table he was going to need some time to think about the situation. No less than 15 seconds passed before the player committed the rest of his chips.

Vedat Levi: {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Levi's opponent was in need of one of the last three tens in the deck in order to improve to Broadway and stay alive. The turn and river fell {6-Spades}{j-Clubs} and Levi secured the elimination, adding to his stack and bringing him back to around where he started for the day.
