Sternberg Opens the Largest Gap Yet

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 0 ante

Alan Sternberg limped in from the small blind and Evangelos Kokkalis opted to see a flop. The dealer fanned the flop of {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Sternberg led out for 200,000. Kokkalis called and the {7-Hearts} paired the board on the turn.

Sternberg fired out another 400,000 and Kokkalis stuck around to see the {9-Clubs} on the river. Sternberg checked this time and Kokkalis checked it back. Sternberg tabled {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades} for two pair and was awarded the pot.
