Fisch Triples With Straight, Byrraju Gambles His Way To Side Pot

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Action started with the player who was under the gun limping in. Jordan Fisch raised the pot to 900 from the hijack and the player in the small blind three-bet to 3,100. Rahul Byrraju called from the big blind and then the under-the-gun limper thought for a bit before deciding to let his hand go.

With action back on Fisch, he shoved all in for 6,400 total. The small blind shoved over the top to put Byrraju to a decision for his last few chips. He decided to gamble given the fact that the tournament allows one re-entry.

Jordan Fisch: {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Rahul Byrraju: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Small Blind: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

Fisch thought he was in a tough situation but the board ran out {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{k-Clubs} to fill up a nine-high straight for him and earn the triple up. Byrraju's kings and tens then were good over his opponent's kings and nines and he took the side pot for his remaining 15,000.
