Hands #30-32: Another Double for Negreanu

Level 24 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Hand #30: Nick Schulman raised to 600,000 from the second position and Daniel Negreanu three-bet all in for 5,500,000.

Dominik Nitsche used a time extension in the small blind before also moving all in. Schulman folded.

Daniel Negreanu: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Dominik Nitsche: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}

Negreanu looked in line for another double on a {2-Spades}{10-Hearts}{q-Spades} flop. The turn {a-Spades} gave Nitsche both straight and flush draws to send KidPoker to the rail, but the river {q-Clubs} improved Negreanu to two pair and he doubled up for the second time in quick succession.

Hand #31: Negreanu raised to 750,000 and Nitsche called on the button. Keith Tilston defended his big blind and they went three ways to a flop of {2-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{q-Hearts}. That was checked around and the turn came the {3-Diamonds}.

Tilston checked and Negreanu bet 1,000,000. Nitsche called and Tilston folded. The river was the {k-Diamonds} and Negreanu check-folded to a bet of 4,375,000.

Hand #32: It folded to Nitsche who bet 900,000. Igor Kurganov then called and the pair checked down a board of {10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Kurganov took down the pot with {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}.

Hand #27: Dominik Nitsche raised to 750,000 in the hijack and Daniel Negreanu defended from the big blind. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Negreanu check-folded to a bet of 500,000 from Nitsche.

Hand #28: The action folded to Negreanu in the small blind who shipped all in for 2,650,000. Brandon Adams made a quick call from the big blind and the cards were on their backs.

Daniel Negreanu: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}
Brandon Adams: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

The flop fell {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} to give Negreanu the lead with a pair of kings. The {4-Diamonds} on the turn provided Adams with a flush draw but the {2-Clubs} on the river ensured Negreanu of a double up.

Hand #29: Adams limped in from the small blind and Nitsche checked his option. The flop came {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and Adams led out for 450,000. Nitsche folded and Adams scooped the pot.

Seat 1: Keith Tilston - United States (14,475,000)

Keith Tilston

The biggest of Keith Tilston's nine WSOP cashes came less than a week ago in Event #90: $50,000 Final Fifty when he cashed in sixth place for $275,874.

The high stakes regular has over $3.6m in lifetime earnings with ten six-figure cashes stretching back to 2006 but will be looking for his first bracelet when play resumes.

He shot to the top of the chip counts in the very last hand of Day 2 when he cracked the pocket aces of Sergi Reixach with kings, when another king came on both the turn and the river. Those quads saw him put almost 60 big blinds in the bag for Day 3.
