Strelitz' Tournament Is Over

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante
Daniel Strelitz
Daniel Strelitz

Daniel Strelitz became eligible to compete in the Bracelet Winners event only a month ago after topping the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em event for $442,385. However, Strelitz' appearance in the exclusive event lasted less than three hours.

Strelitz had already dropped some chips during the opening two levels and his swan song came when he faced off against his neighbor Yue Du.

Both hands had been tabled by the time the action was picked up and the dealer rolled out the final card of the board. Strelitz ran with {a-}{q-} into Du's {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and a king on the turn cemented Du's position.

Strelitz walked away while Du improved to 170,000.

Hinkle Wins on Turn

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante
Grant Hinkle
Grant Hinkle

Daniel Strelitz raised to 800 in the hijack, Grant Hinkle flatted on the button and Ron Ware and Chad Holloway came along from the blinds.

Strelitz bet 1,000 on a {6-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{k-Spades} flop and only Hinkle called.

The {10-Diamonds} turn saw Strelitz checked and he folded when Hinkle made it 3,000 to go.

Runner-Runner Trips for Ma

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante
Tony Ma
Tony Ma

The {9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{q-Spades} was spread out on the felt and Tony Ma fired 20,000 under the gun, a slight overbet to the pot. Noah Schwartz tanked in the hijack and then threw in the calling chips.

Ma flipped the {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for a flopped flush draw, and while it didn't get filled, the backdoor trips were enough to secure Ma the sizeable pot.

Zedan Forces Fold from Pham

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Three players went to the {4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{q-Hearts} flop in a single raised pot. Ylon Schwartz checked from the big blind and Christian Pham continued for 3,300 from the cutoff. Luis Zedan called on his left and Schwartz folded.

The {10-Clubs} hit the turn and Pham checked to Zedan who fired 7,800. Pham paused for a moment and then he laid his hand down.

Gagliano Pays the River This Time, Loses to Trips

Level 2 : 100/300, 300 ante
Michael Gagliano
Michael Gagliano

Following his reported river-fold, Michael Gagliano recently played another huge pot. Gagliano was on the button, facing a bet of 14,000 into roughly 30,000 from Frederick Berger, who was in middle position. The board read {2-Clubs}{q-Spades}{a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Gagliano decided to call this time.

Berger, however, rolled over {k-Spades}{q-Hearts} for trip queens and Gagliano mucked.
