Kevin Gerhart limped in from the small blind and Shankar Pillai checked his option from the big blind.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Gerhart led out for 25,000. Pillai raised to 80,000 and Gerhart re-raised to 235,000. Pillai called.

The turn was the {8-Spades} and Gerhart went into the tank for a while before moving all in. Pillai picked his cards up to have a look before announcing a call.

Gerhart tabled {9-Spades}{7-Clubs} for two pair nines and sevens, but needed to improve against Pillai's {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a straight to the nine.

The river was the {q-Diamonds} and Pillai doubled through, leaving Gerhart with around five big blinds.
