The action is about to get underway on Wednesday, July 10th, 2019 at 11 a.m as Day 1 of Event #80: $1,500 Mixed No-Limit Hold'em, Pot Limit Omaha begins. Jordan Polk is the reigning champion, besting a field of 707 entries in 2018 for $197,461 and his first World Series of Poker gold bracelet. Polk defeated Fernando Brito heads up who for the second year in a row had made the final table in this event. Can Brito make it third time the charm? We shall begin to find out very soon.
This event is currently scheduled to be a three-day tournament with the game switching between No-Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha every eight hands. Every player who enters the tournament will receive 25,000 starting chips, with the blinds starting at 100/100 and levels will last 60-minutes long. On Day 1 they will play a total of 10 levels with a 20-minute break after every second level and a 75-min dinner break after the 6th level ( approximately 5:40 p.m.)
Late registration will be available until the end of level eight, at approximately 9:15 p.m. If the players are unfortunate enough to be eliminated in the first eight levels they will have the option of re-entering one time.
