Yi Ma raised to 1,000,000 from the cutoff and the big blind, Fernando Karam shoved all in.

He was called by Ma and the cards were tabled.

Karam had {a-Spades}{k-Spades}, while Ma was holding {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}. "My cards are live" Said Ma.

The {4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Clubs} run out meant Karam's ace-king was good enough to hold and knock Ma out in 17th place.

Level 34 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Fernando Karam
Fernando Karam

Fernando Karam opened to 700,000 from under the gun and action folded to Mike Dentale in the big blind. With only around 3,000,000 left he made the call.

Dentale check-called 800,000 on the {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop. The turn was the {6-Clubs} and Dentale checked again, Karam moved all in and Dentale went in the tank.

"So sick man, hand after hand" Dentale stated. "I only have jacks," he announced.

The clock was called and with five seconds left to act, he made the call with {j-}{j-}. Karam had him dominated with {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} and with no improvement, Dentale was sent to the rail.

Liran Betito and Gustavo Mastelotto both checked through a {8-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{q-Diamonds} flop.

Mastelotto bet 3,000,000 on the turn {3-Diamonds}, getting the call from Betito. Mastelotto then went all in for his last 9,200,000 on the river {4-Hearts}, sending Betito into contemplation mode.

After several minutes, Betitio made the call, and it was a joyous showdown for the tournament chip leader, as Betito's {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} was good against Mastelotto's {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

Natalie Teh
Natalie Teh

Blind vs blind action had created a huge pot, with over fifteen million in the middle.

Board: {3-Spades}{j-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Natalie Teh was calm and postured as she shoved all in vs Mike Dentale, Teh was the player at risk.

Dentale looked pained as he weighed his options and went over possible hands out loud.

"You must have the nutter butters" he said, "You look so calm."

Eventually he mucked his hand and Teh scooped in another huge pot.

Teh's trap worked out perfectly and she showed {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}, while Shkolnik was in rough shape with {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}. The flop {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} gave Shkolnik a pair but he could not improve on the {q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} runout.
