Matsuzuki Chops and Survives

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

Dan Matsuzuki got all in on fourth street with low cards against an open pair of aces held by Thomas Schroepfer and Jason Mercier's {j-Clubs}{k-Spades}. Schroepfer check-called fifth but was dealt another ace on sixth. Mercier tank-called.

Matsuzuki: {x-}{x-}/{3-Spades}{5-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}/{x-}
Mercier: {x-}{x-}/{j-Clubs}{k-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}/{x-}
Schroepfer: {x-}{x-}/{a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{a-Hearts}/{x-}

Schroepfer bet the end and Mercier spun the {9-Hearts} across the table in frustration and mucked. Schroepfer had aces full with {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} in the hole but Matsuzuki had the low to survive: {6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}.
