Schulman Scoops Miller

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Nick Schulman
Nick Schulman

Ryan Miller raised from the cutoff to 90,000 and received a call from Nick Schulman in the big blind. The flop came {4-Spades}{j-Spades}{9-Spades} and Schulman checked to Miller, who made a continuation-bet of 100,000. Schulman called.

The turn was {3-Diamonds} and both players checked. On the {8-Spades} river, Schulman fired 400,000 into the pot. Miller thought for about a minute and tossed in chips to call.

Schulman tabled {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs} for the nut low with top pair, top kicker and Miller mucked, bringing him below the half-million chip mark.

McKenna Takes One Versus Hastings

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Brian Hastings opened from the hijack to 85,000 and Michael McKenna called from the small blind taking action heads up to a flop of {2-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. Both players checked and the turn came {9-Hearts}. McKenna bet 100,000 and Hastings called, bringing the river {2-Clubs} .

McKenna put in a bet of 225,000 and Hastings thought for a few seconds before calling.

Mckenna showed {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for a full house, twos full of nines, good to take down the pot as Hastings mucked.

Connor Drinan Eliminated in 10th Place ($35,950); Ryan Miller Eliminated in 9th Place ($35,950)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Connor Drinan
Connor Drinan

Connor Drinan came in with a pot-sized raise to 140,000 from the cutoff, Nick Schulman called on the button, and Ryan Miller called from the big blind. On the {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop, Miller checked, Drinan shoved all in for 230,000, Schulman was all in, and Miller also reshoved all in for over 400,000.

Connor Drinan: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Ryan Miller: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Nick Schulman: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

Drinan had flopped middle set, Schulman held top two, the nut flush draw, and a wheel draw, while Miller had top pair with a wrap. The {j-Diamonds} on the turn gave Schulman the nut flush, and the {8-Clubs} river added an eighty-five low merely for the statistics.

Drinan started the hand with fewer chips than Miller and finished in 10th place, while Miller ended up ninth. With the double knockout, Schulman starts the official final table as the chip leader.

Schulman Wins At Showdown

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Nick Schulman saw action folded to him in the hijack and raised to 90,000. Chris Vitch defended his big blind and the flop came {2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. Both players checked.

The turn was {4-Diamonds} and Vitch checked to Schulman, who fired for 125,000. Vitch made the call and the river came {10-Diamonds}. Vitch checked again and Schulman bet 150,000. Vitch looked him up.

Schulman showed {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for the second-nut flush and Vitch mucked.

"You had a bigger straight than me and a bigger flush than me," Vitch said.

"Sounds like I should have bet the flop," responded Schulman as he raked in the pot.

Hochman Hanging Around

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Joe Hachem opened to 90,000 from early position and action folded around to Corey Hochman in the big blind, who called. The flop came {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and after about 30 seconds, Hochman pushed forward all of his chips. The dealer announced a pot-sized bet of 200,000, meaning he had to pull back the remaining 130,000.

Hachem confirmed the amount of the bet as well as Hochman's approximate amount of chips behind and spent around two minutes in the tank before letting his hand go and giving up the pot.
