Ringe Busted in Odd Hand

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Gerald Ringe was all in after getting his last 14,500 in before the draw out of the small blind. Andrew Brown had him at risk and each player drew one until the final draw, when Ringe patted. Brown pitched a card in and then Ringe said he thought he was checking and he actually needed a card.

"Well, then I'm pat," a confused Brown said, snatching his card back. "Can you get a ruling?"

Others at the table seemed to think Ringe should have to pat, and the supervisor initially said he would rule that way but since a player was all in he had to call for a higher ruling. Another TD arrived and, after being apprised of the situation, allowed Ringe to draw.

Brown rolled over {10-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{2-}. Ringe peeled and then tossed in the {q-} with {7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}, meaning if he was forced to pat and Brown to draw he would have doubled with a better third card.
