Rodriguez Scores Big Double Up

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Robert Rodriguez raised to 25,000 from early position and another player three-bet to 65,000. John Phan four-bet from late position to 155,000 and action folded back to Rodriguez. Rodriguez put his last 324,000 in the middle and the player who three-bet got out of the way. Phan quickly called and they opened up.

Robert Rodriguez: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
John Phan: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Rodriguez celebrated when his jacks held up for him to secure a full double up.

Good Restart for Dawley

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Michael Huber opened to 16,000 in early position and it folded to Jessica Dawley who called in the small blind, followed by the big blind.

The flop came {q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and brought no betting action. So did the {6-Clubs} turn.

The {a-Spades} fell on the river and Dawley led out for 25,000. It was enough to make her opponents fold. Dawley, who started the day with 211,000 has now more than doubled her stack.

Porbandarwala's Shove Gets Through

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

On a board reading {6-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and with about 60,000 in the middle, Soheb Porbandarwala checked from the small blind. The player under the gun fired 55,000 and Porbandarwala check-raised all in for about 200,000. His opponent went deep into the tank for a few minutes and eventually the clock got called on him. With a few seconds left on the countdown, the player under the gun folded flashing the {k-Hearts}, and Porbandarwala raked in the pot.
